Employee-

Everyone has a stake, a say and a shared sense of purpose.
You want your brand to matter to the people shaping the world of work. We help you earn this, and we call it relevance. For decades, we’ve partnered with HR consultancies, service providers and tech platforms across the people ecosystem, giving them the strategies and stories they need to be chosen by today’s decision makers.
We’re a strategic and senior team who value thinking as much as doing. We challenge clients with care, balancing sharp creativity with commercial sense. At Skout, everyone has a voice and a reason to care. Our shared ownership creates a culture where everyone’s united and excited to deliver great work.
As a fully employee-owned agency, we’re all invested in your brand’s success.
I’ve worked in HR PR and marketing since the mid 1990s, starting with my first major client: HR software pioneer PeopleSoft. Helping it grow as a challenger to giants like SAP and Oracle – and landing my very first piece of coverage in the Financial Times – set the tone for what’s followed.
Since then, I’ve advised and supported a wide mix of people focused and B2B brands, specialising in strategic but practical PR and advice that helps organisations get noticed, build influence and lead conversations in their market.
I’m a big believer in data and research done properly – and then pushed as far as it can go. Shortly after founding Skout in 2010, I worked with an early HR and wellbeing app sitting on rich data about sleep and productivity. That insight helped secure frontpage attention and major national coverage.
At Skout, I’ve helped build a shared passion for the HR space – it’s constantly evolving, endlessly interesting, and very much our home.
I’m a specialist in HR communications with more than 25 years experience helping people focused brands build relevance, trust and credibility with the audiences they need to reach. Over the years I’ve worked across the HR landscape – from the world’s largest privately owned HR provider to experts in inclusion, mobility, leadership development, behavioural insight, skills analysis, employee benefits and salary sacrifice schemes.
I’ve led teams for much of my career, so I’m naturally fascinated by people and how they show up at work. That curiosity drives how I work today: taking knotty workforce topics and turning them into clear, useful stories that HR managers, senior leaders and frontline teams want to read about.
Before Skout, I spent several years in Hong Kong setting up a regional office for a global agency and working as deputy editor of the region’s highest circulating monthly magazine. It sharpened my editorial instincts (and my love of dim sum) and gave me a deep appreciation for how culture shapes work.
At Skout, I lead our RelevanceEngine approach and new product development – bringing energy, insight and a lot of curiosity to every client partnership.
With more than 30 years in PR, I have built a career dedicated to helping people focused organisations gain influence and shape the conversations that matter. I began my career in a small B2B communications agency that worked for a wide range of clients, learning the skills that would help me provide strategic advice to businesses throughout my work life.
Since then, I have worked across a wide range of HR, wellbeing, and people centric brands, delivering strategic programmes that help to get brands noticed in a crowded marketplace. My most recent notable win for a client was securing coverage in Fortune magazine for a financial wellbeing client based on its annual global research data.
I am passionate about people – how they work and the environment that facilitates their success – so the evolving HR landscape is a great place to give this passion direction, helping clients amplify their voice and make meaningful, measurable impact.
At Skout I lead a team of talented and knowledgeable HR PR experts who are focused on producing relevant results that deliver commercial benefit.
I’ve built my career in B2B PR working with HR, people development and workplace technology brands. With a degree in Public Relations and Media and a master’s in International Relations, I have always been interested in how communication, culture and global trends shape the workplace. That interest stayed with me and now plays a big part in the way I support clients.
As an Account Director at Skout, I lead campaigns for HR and people focused organisations, helping them tell meaningful stories, earn trust and influence the right conversations. I am naturally a people person, and I genuinely care about making a difference. I’m at my best when I’m collaborating and supporting others, and that shapes the way I approach both client work and team relationships.
I enjoy turning insight into powerful stories, from wellbeing to workforce strategy. My work has supported national coverage in The Times and The Telegraph and specialist titles such as People Management, HR Director and HR Magazine.
At Skout, I am part of a team that truly understands the HR world. It never stands still and that makes it an inspiring place to be every day.
I’ve always felt at home in PR and media relations. Finding the right angle, knowing which journalists will genuinely care about a story, and shaping it so it lands. That’s been the thread running through my work with HR-focused organisations, where strong, relevant storytelling really matters.
Most of my experience sits across HR tech, recruitment, employee experience and wellbeing, and I enjoy understanding the workplace issues that sit beneath the headlines. Whether it’s skills gaps, culture, productivity, or shifting employee expectations, I thrive on turning complex HR challenges into clear, timely narratives that get attention for the right reasons.
At Skout, I focus on helping clients build a consistent media presence in a sector that never stops moving. I enjoy working closely with brands to understand what makes them stand out, position their expertise effectively, and make sure their voice shows up in the conversations shaping the future of work.
I work across HR focused PR and content, and most of my role involves digging into the people shaped details that sit behind a story.
My degree in Media, Communications and Cultural Studies shaped this interest and I naturally gravitate toward topics that explore behaviour – from how people feel about their role to how teams respond to change. It keeps the content I create grounded and stops HR drifting into something abstract or overly technical.
More recently, I’ve been building my understanding of how AI tools are changing comms inside organisations and the way people share information, and the implications for HR teams trying to keep communication clear and human. It’s important to me that the content I produce helps people recognise themselves in the stories being told and I try to write in a way that feels honest about how work actually feels day to day.
I’ve always loved telling stories. Whether it’s reminiscing about childhood memories or telling a funny joke I heard (usually from my dad). So, falling into the PR world post-uni was pretty much the perfect fit.
Somewhere along the way, I realised the stories I enjoy most are the ones about people and how they work, grow and connect, which made HR comms a perfect fit.
At Skout, I get to work closely with HR and workplace focused brands, turning their ideas and expertise into stories that actually resonate. From thought leadership and media outreach to social content and campaign support, I love creating work that helps clients stand out in the fast moving world of HR and people comms.
I always knew I wanted to work in an office, starting with a slightly worrying childhood obsession with WHSmith and stationery cupboards. While studying business at university, the people modules were the ones I loved and so I pursued a career formally known as Personnel. During my early career I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management, gaining membership of the CIPD and cementing the foundations of a long and fulfilling career in the field.
At Skout PR, I lead on all things people from recruitment, onboarding and learning and development to performance management, wellbeing, HR policy, employee relations and shaping our culture. I work closely with our leadership team to ensure our HR practices are compliant, consistent and genuinely people focused, while also supporting wider operational needs where it makes sense.
I’m a proudly organised control freak, my life runs on spreadsheets, and luckily that comes in handy when keeping processes smooth, teams supported and in helping the agency to run happily and efficiently.
